Leading the way in motion-preserving therapy
The Stabilimax NZ® is a revolutionary dynamic spine system that is intended to provide stabilization of the lumbar spine in patients receiving decompression surgery for the treatment of clinically symptomatic central or lateral spinal stenosis. The device utilizes a novel dual-spring mechanism designed to provide maximum stabilization to the spine to address pain while preserving motion.
Stabilimax NZ requires a less invasive surgical procedure than fusion or disc replacement. Minimizing surgical trauma can reduce morbidity and recovery time and provide a more rapid return to the activities of daily life. Treating back pain with minimal disruption while maintaining motion can decrease the potential for Adjacent Level Disc Disease and the requirement of additional surgery.
The design of the Stabilimax NZ is based on the principles of spine biomechanics and Neutral Zone research of Dr. Manohar Panjabi, world-renowned professor at the Yale University School of Medicine.
